Sassuolo boss Roberto De Zerbi admits he is ‘happy’ for wantaway midfielder Stefano Sensi to leave this summer.
Milan have been chiefly linked with Sensi, but there have also been reports of interest from Inter and even Juventus for the 23-year-old.
“If he stays then we’ll all be happy,” De Zerbi told Sky Sport Italia.
“If he doesn’t then we’d be just as happy because it means one of our players is going to another team to improve. We aim to grow players and improve them.

“I’m not worried about the market. When good players leave, you have to replace them with players who are equally good, maybe not yet ready like Sensi or Demiral but those with similar potential.”

“It wasn’t difficult to choose Sassuolo, they were the natural choice, even after the talks I had with the club and owners.
“We want to improve and raise the level of the squad. I’m glad to be staying where I am. It was neither a sacrifice nor a particular choice.
“It came naturally to me because I want to stay on this journey with the players who are staying.
“We need to understand where we can improve.”
