It is no secret that Inter are pursuing both centre-forward Scamacca and midfielder Frattesi for next summer, and both those players start this evening at the Stadio Meazza.

The Sassuolo chief was therefore asked if he had been in contact with Inter counterpart Beppe Marotta lately.

“I am often in contact with Marotta, as we have a friendship,” Carnevali told DAZN.

“Inter were certainly among the first to ask after both Frattesi and Scamacca. Those players have to focus right now on the growth process and what they can do with Sassuolo, then we will see what happens.”

Scamacca is a 23-year-old centre-forward who has scored nine goals in 23 Serie A games so far this season.

He also attracted attention from Milan, Borussia Dortmund and others, but the asking price is circa €40m.

Frattesi is a 22-year-old midfielder who came out from the Roma youth academy, scoring four goals with two assists in 24 Serie A appearances for the Neroverdi this term.

  1. Inter need to splash the cash on a striker like they did for Conte or get someone proven who is not wanted by their club like tevez was.
