Sassuolo have become the first side since Fiorentina in 1955-56 to win Serie A games away to Juventus, Milan and Inter in the same season.

The Neroverdi are playing a decisive role in the Scudetto race and more than earning their reputation as giant-killers under Alessio Dionisi.

Their 2-0 victory at San Siro this evening was sealed by goals from Giacomo Raspadori and Gianluca Scamacca.

They had already conquered the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza earlier this term, leaving with a 3-1 result against Milan on November 28.

Alessio Romagnoli had opened the scoring for the Rossoneri, but it was overturned by Scamacca, a Simon Kjaer own goal and Domenico Berardi.

It was the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin that fell first, 2-1 deep into stoppages on October 27, 2021.

Davide Frattesi’s opener was cancelled out by Weston McKennie, but Maxime Lopez struck on the counter-attack.

Sassuolo also held Napoli 2-2 at home in December and beat Lazio 2-1, but notably the last game of the Serie A season is at home to Scudetto contenders Milan.

In the final eight rounds, Sassuolo will play Lazio, Atalanta, Cagliari, Juventus, Napoli, Udinese, Bologna and Milan.
