Sannino is keen that his players bounce back and reflected that the necessity to win may in fact play in their favour.

Sannino is keen that his players bounce back and reflected that the necessity to win may in fact play in their favour.
“We have no time for regrets. We have fed their hopes at the expense of our own, so tomorrow’s game becomes vitally important.
“To find the best in ourselves we need to suffer and feel the breath on our neck of those behind.”
The team did have a penalty shout during the game, but Sannino took a realistic angle.
“[Nicola] Rizzoli is one of the best referees and I’m sure he will have noticed the error when reviewing the incident. But now the case is closed and we head on to Catania.”
The 54-year-old tactician reflected on the strengths of the team’s midweek opponents.
“Without [Marco] Motta’s sending off, [their] game [at Juventus] would have been different, because of their aggressiveness when they lose the ball immediately, which is comparable to Barcelona.
“Then, they also have good players who can beat their man on the flanks, not to mention the experience of [Sergio] Almiron and [Mariano] Izco.
“My players have to do more in the mental aspect to stay vigilant and be able to properly evaluate each game situation. This year nothing is easy, we have 23 points because we have run a lot and merited them.”
