Marseille Coach Didier Deschamps is not swayed by Inter’s crisis going into tomorrow’s Champions League clash. “Their value is beyond doubt.”

The Nerazzurri have lost five of their last six games in all competition and visit OM in the first leg of their Round of 16 tie on Wednesday evening.

“Inter have many international stars who are accustomed to playing in the Champions League and can make the difference, like Diego Milito, Giampaolo Pazzini and Wesley Sneijder,” said Deschamps in his press conference.

“They are capable of making their opponents quake. Their value is beyond doubt and will be different to what we’ve seen in recent Serie A games.

“Don’t forget nine of their players won the Champions League Final only a year and a half ago, so their return to Europe will bring new motivation.”

With these disastrous results and the crowd calling for Jose Mourinho, there is huge pressure on Claudio Ranieri.

“The situation is very complex for a Coach and I had the same problem here in September. Ranieri has experience and knows how to handle it, although results are absolutely key in a big club. Claudio will find the solutions to bring Inter back together and give them quality both in defence and attack.”

Olympique Marseille finished their run at this stage last season and hope to progress further.

“We have no certainty, but we do have belief. It’s a two-legged affair and we have faith, as we’ll give it our all,” continued Deschamps.

“We knew Remy would not recover, but that is football. We also know what Brandao can give to the team.”
