He’s now ready to get back to work and is considering a couple of proposals.

His favoured destination is Sampdoria, but the squad and fans are not entirely confident he can keep his temper under wraps this time.

Sky Sport Italia claim new Coach Walter Zenga is in contact with Cassano to discuss some very clear boundaries if he does return to Marassi.

Cassano was sent to Milan in 2010 after famously hurling abuse at then-President of Sampdoria Riccardo Garrone.

The notoriously fiery player admitted that was the incident he regretted most in his life.
