Lazar Samardizic’s father Miaden says Rafaela Pimenta was ‘not entitled’ to negotiate his son’s transfer to Inter, but the agent replies by saying they even toasted when the deal seemed done.

Samardzic returned to Udinese after his move to Inter collapsed barely two weeks ago.

Inter had reached an agreement with Udinese and the player had even undergone his medical with the Nerazzurri, but his father tried to change the terms of the agreement when the deal was pretty much done and sealed.

“Inter negotiated with a person that was not entitled to do so: Rafaela Pimenta,” Samardzic’s father told Sportitalia.

“I saw her only once in my lifetime and I don’t know how she managed to be involved in this situation. When we saw the contract draft, we asked to change it, but Inter only wanted to negotiate with Pimenta.”

Pimenta, the heir to Mino Raiola’s agency, immediately replied.

“I am sorry that Samardzic’s father justified his action like this. Facts do the talking,” she said as quoted by Gianluca Di Marzio.

“From the meeting in my office in Montecarlo with him, his wife and Kolarov to the many calls to different clubs we made together and even his request to Udinese to directly speak to me.

“We had an appointment in Inter’s headquarters together, we agreed to join the Nerazzurri, and we even toasted with him and his wife,” she continued.

“There was a video call to organise his son’s medical, plus the arrival of other relatives and a cameraman. After all this, his father made requests that I did not share, so I decided to take a step back.”

Samardzic was introduced from the bench in the second half of Udinese’s 3-0 loss against Juventus on Sunday and Lazio are now in talks with Udinese to secure his signing.

The 21-year-old Serbia international has seven goals and seven assists in 64 appearances with the Friuli-based club. His contract at the Dacia Arena expires in June 2026.
