Christian Pulisic was the best player on the pitch in BolognaMilan on Monday night: ‘He was as sweet as Hershey’s chocolate,’ wrote La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The USMNT international scored a stunner on his Milan and Serie A debut in a 2-0 win over Bologna on Monday night. He was the best player on the pitch at the Stadio Dall’Ara, according to Italian newspapers.

La Gazzetta dello Sport rated the American 7.5/10, the same as Il Corriere dello Sport.

“He comes from Hershey, famous for the best chocolate in America,” wrote La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Luca Bianchin.

“Yesterday, he was just as sweet: an inspiring touch for the first goal and right-footed shoot for the 2-0.”

Il Corriere dello Sport added that Pulisic’s first half was “perfect” and that the ex-Chelsea winger was the “best player on the pitch” in Bologna.

Pulisic also received the highest rating (7/10) on Tuttosport newspaper, like his teammate Rafael Leao.

Overall, all Milan players received high grades in Italian media, but Tijjani Reijnders was probably the best player after Pulisic. Rated 7/10 by Gazzetta and Corriere dello Sport, the Dutchman completed 100% of his 27 passes at the Stadio Dall’Ara.
