All things considered, I Lupi’s sporting director Sabatini, who spent four years in the same role at Lazio, believes that Luis Enrique’s men are feeling nervous for the weekend.

“We do not arrive [for the game feeling] so great. We have come from a disastrous defeat and we are moderately afraid of Lazio.

“It might be enough o make us improve our attention and quality to match them.

“It will be a beautiful game, motivation from both will be ferocious and we share a high level of football.”

Sabatini also commented on the growing list of absentees for the weekend’s clash. Roma are already missing three players through suspension, whilst Lazio are without eight men through injury.

“The derby is never absent from the game, though, so I’d ignore comments on absentees.

“I am confident in our team, who want to realise their concept of playing on an important occasion.

“We are confident.”
