Miroslav Klose has reassured Lazio fans that he will try to be available for the Biancocelesti’s derby with Roma this weekend, after a midweek injury scare.

In action for Germany on Wednesday night, Klose drew capital concern when a clash with France’s Yohan Cabaye left the striker on the ground in pain, holding his ankle.

Whilst it may or may not have been the reason as to why he was substituted at half-time, Klose looked to restore confidence to on-looking Lazio fans post-match.

“I’m fine. I took a heavy blow to the ankle, but I’m fine now,” the Polish-born forward told Sky Sport 24. “I want to reassure everyone. I think I will be there for the derby.

“Have I yet to decide though? Let’s see.”

Klose is Lazio’s top goal-scorer this season, has provided the second highest number of assists in the League for the team and scored a last-minute winner in the first Rome derby of the season.
