Ryan Friedkin said they ‘don’t like being called’ Roma owners, as the club ‘belongs to everyone’.

The Friedkin officially completed the takeover of Roma from former President James Pallotta in August 2020 and are working to bring the Giallorossi back to the top of Italian football.

Jose Mourinho was brought in to steer the project this summer and La Lupa currently sit fourth in the table after 10 games and Friedkin spoke to Il Tempo during the ‘Stronger Together’ even organised yesterday at Trigoria by the Roma owners.

Ryan Friedkin was at the sports centre with his brother Corbyn and said they feel more like ‘custodians’ of the club’s legacy.

“We are the custodians of Rome’s heritage,” Ryan Friedkin told Il Tempo. “We don’t like being called owners, because Roma belong to everyone.”

Mourinho’s men are currently preparing to host Milan at the Olimpico on Sunday, arriving from a 2-1 win over Cagliari in Sardinia.
