Napoli striker Dries Mertens announced on social media that he and Kat Kerkhofs are expecting a baby. ‘Welcome, baby Ciro’.
The Partenopei star, who recently returned from a shoulder injury, posted a video on Instagram to announce the pregnancy.
“Our hearts are exploding with joy now that we’re welcoming our little Neapolitan boy,” Kat wrote on Instagram.
The 34-year-old, who has appeared in 365 competitive games, has recently returned to the pitch with the Partenopei.
He underwent a shoulder surgery this summer and has appeared towards the end of the last four Serie A games.
Napoli are still unbeaten in Serie A and sit tied on points with Milan at the top after nine wins and one draw in 10 games.
