Juventus talisman Cristiano Ronaldo has travelled to Portugal to be with his mother, who reportedly suffered a stroke last night and has been hospitalised in Madeira.

JM Madeira write that his mother is being monitored carefully after suffering a stroke, was taken swiftly to hospital and immediately underwent surgery.

The Portuguese outlet writes that she is “conscious and in stable condition,” but will have to stay under surveillance by the hospital in Madeira.

According to Tuttosport and others, Ronaldo will reportedly arrive in his hometown around 15:00 GMT and will evaluate in the next hours whether he will return to Italy and play in the Coppa Italia semi-final against Milan tomorrow night.

Tuttosport claims that the Juventus star has already prepared to fly from Madeira to Turin tomorrow morning, to return in time to participate against the Rossoneri.
