Ronaldo is cheering for his former side Inter to win the Scudetto, but thinks Roma are “on a lower level”.
The Brazilian was a Nerazzurri hero during his playing days, scoring 59 goals in 99 appearances, despite two serious knee injuries.
“The League is still long and difficult,” Ronaldo told Il Messaggero at an even for his Fundação Fenômenos charity.

“The League is still long and difficult,” Ronaldo told Il Messaggero at an even for his Fundação Fenômenos charity.
“But after the defeat to Napoli, I’m cheering for Inter, my heart beats for the Nerazzurri. I’m still very attached to the city of Milan, it’s five years I’ve never forgotten.
“I have a special affection for [Inter’s rivals] Milan too, but I’d say that Inter were very important for me. Five years in contact with all the Interisti, it’s a long time for any team.
“[Coach] Roberto Mancini has a strong identification with this group.
“Napoli are very competitive, but I’d watch out for Juve too, who – even if they’re not the same as previous years – are still very strong, despite being a bit behind in the table.
“Are Roma in the Scudetto race? I don’t think so, they’re on a lower level.”
Ronaldo left the Beneamata to join Real Madrid in 2002, and reveals he couldn’t get on with then-Coach Hector Cuper.
“I’m very proud of my history at Inter, although the end was traumatic [Inter losing the title to Juventus on the last day of the season].
“I didn’t ask to leave, I just couldn’t continue with Hector Cuper. [Then-President] Massimo Moratti did nothing and then I decided.
“His [Cuper’s] training was exhausting, it made for a complicated relationship.
Finally, the former striker spared a word for Roma captain Francesco Totti.“It was an honour to play against him,” Ronaldo said.
“He’s a champion and a good person. I’m proud to be part of his generation.”
