Alessio Romagnoli has been left out of Luigi Di Biagio’s Italy Under-21 squad, potentially indicating a senior call.

Last month saw Gianluigi Donnarumma excluded from the squad, and the 17-year-old goalkeeper went on to make his Azzurri debut against France.

Donnarumma has once again been left out of the team to face Lithuania, as has his Rossoneri teammate Alessio Romagnoli.

Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi and Daniele Rugani of Juventus are both injured, so have not been called-up.
