Sky Sport Italia claim that Roma will announce Rudi Garcia as their new Coach after 6pm on Wednesday evening.

The Frenchman, 49-years-old, will replace Aurelio Andreazzoli in the capital and joins from Ligue 1 outfit Lille.

Garcia’s only coaching honours have come with Lille – they won the League title in 2011 and the Coupe de France in the same year.

Garcia has beaten Laurent Blanc and Marcelo Bielsa to the post after the capital outfit missed out on Walter Mazzarri and Massimiliano Allegri.

Mazzarri agreed to join Inter after leaving Napoli, while Allegri has been kept on by Milan.

Roma will wait until the stock market is closed before making the appointment official later today.

Meanwhile, L’Equipe is suggesting that Garcia will be handed a two-year contract worth €1.5m a season. There will be an option for a third campaign.
