Roma would appear to have done another deal with a Ligue 1 club, as it’s reported Justin Kluivert has signed the contract with OGC Nice.

Jose Mourinho is whittling down his squad of players who are not part of the project, many of them returning from loan deals last season.

That includes Pau Lopez and Cengiz Under to Olympique Marseille, while now Sky Sport Italia claim Kluivert has completed his move to Nice.

It will be a loan deal with option to buy for the Ligue 1 side, who beat competition from Lille.

Kluivert spent last term on loan at RB Leipzig, where he scored four goals in 27 games.

The 22-year-old is the son of former Milan striker Patrick Kluivert.

Roma had paid €17.25m to sign Kluivert Junior from Ajax in the summer of 2018, but he never really delivered at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Dutchman made 68 competitive appearances in the Giallorossi jersey, scoring nine goals and providing 10 assists.
