Andrea Belotti has still not agreed a new contract and Torino are ready to set a deadline for a decision, with Roma and Atalanta ready to pounce, especially if Edin Dzeko joins Inter.

His current deal expires in June 2022 and the latest improved offer of €3.3m per season has not yet received a positive response.

Negotiations are continuing, but Sportitalia claim that Toro aren’t prepared to wait any longer, setting a deadline of 48-72 hours for Belotti to make a decision.

The asking price is €30m, but could potentially drop with a player exchange for the 27-year-old striker.

Transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà insists the most likely candidates to go for Belotti are Roma and Atalanta.

Both of these are linked with Inter’s negotiations with Chelsea to sell Romelu Lukaku for €120m plus bonuses.

That’s because the first choice for the Nerazzurri is Duvan Zapata, who would leave a hole in the Atalanta squad that could be filled by Belotti, especially as Il Gallo is from Bergamo.

The second and far more affordable pick is Dzeko, who is available from Roma for circa €12m.

According to Nicolò Schira, Inter had talks with Dzeko’s agent Alessandro Lucci this evening to ask about his availability.

Should Roma sell Dzeko, then Belotti may well be chosen to take over with Jose Mourinho’s Giallorossi.
