Chelsea are preparing two different proposals for Romelu Lukaku, one for €105m cash plus Davide Zappacosta, the other €115m cash, and it remains to be seen if Inter will accept.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the negotiations progressed today between the two clubs after a previous bid of €100m (£84.76m) plus Marcos Alonso was rejected.

Inter are hoping to get €130m in cash for the striker, whereas Chelsea are pushing to include a player in part-exchange.

With Alonso snubbed, Zappacosta has been included rather than the other candidate Emerson Palmieri.

Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio claims the Champions League holders are putting forward two different offers this evening.

The first is €105m cash (£89m) plus Zappacosta, which Inter are inclined to reject, and the other is €115m in cash (£97.47m).

This is still low compared to the €130m (£110.1m) expected proposal and with pressure growing on President Steven Zhang, it’s possible he might still turn it down, demanding more.
