Juventus and Roma are discussing what players could be used in part-exchange for Nicolò Zaniolo, including Arthur, Fabio Miretti and Giacomo Vrioni.

The Bianconeri got the breakthrough they wanted for Angel Di Maria, who is ready to sign a one-year contract worth €7.5m per season as a free agent, but that doesn’t mean they won’t also continue their pursuit of Zaniolo.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, talks are carrying on behind the scenes to work out which players Roma would accept as part of an exchange deal to lower the €50-60m asking price.

Arthur Melo was an option, but the Giallorossi do not seem too enthusiastic about the idea of the Brazilian ex-Barcelona player.

Instead, they are more interested in promising young players who they can help develop and perhaps then sell on at a profit in future – which is after all how they got Zaniolo in the first place, in part-exchange for Radja Nainggolan.

Amongst those mentioned are 18-year-old midfielder Miretti, who has already played seven games for the senior Juventus team and is the star man of the Italy Under-19 squad.

Another is Vrioni, a 23-year-old centre-forward who is currently on loan at WSG Tirol and has six senior caps for Albania.

10 thought on “Roma name Juventus players wanted in Zaniolo exchange”
  1. Really doubt roma would want Giacomo Vrioni he’s 22 yrs old in a really low league, miretti is not the new de bruyne – no where near his level even at the same age. No one wants arthur – juve might as well sell him to the turkish league – sooner the better.

  2. 33 mill + Kean..Then 5 mill go to Inter Milan..Buy Houssem Aouar 18 mill and still come out with 10 mill profit. Sell Veretout and then put that money to get Nico Gonzalez Fiorentina at whatever costs. Nico & a healthy Spinna is doom for anybody playing on the right

  3. I think keep Zaniola change the system to a back 4 bring back frattesi, aouar and Geudes then we can have a team that can compete for champions league football and for trophies… Its easier that way…

    Rui
    Celik
    Spina
    Macini
    Smalling
    Cristante
    Aouar
    Frattesi
    Pellegrini
    Abraham
    Zaniola

    That my team

  4. The most disappointing player is Loca but it’s elephant in the room.
Arthur and Rabiot r way better than Loca.

  5. Everyday new names from Juve for the exchange with Zaniolo.
The fact, it is just media unreliable rumours.

  6. @locacrap lmao i agree that locatelli didn’t play really great last season, but rabiot and arthur are worst,

  7. Even a as a Roma fan, buying Zaniolo now is jumping the gun and any team should wait another season.

He’s no where near the player he was before the ACL’s.. and its looking to be a bit of a Del Piero situation, where he went from superstar to small glimpses of past form.

Its a real shame, because he was looking to be Italy’s new hope

  8. fake news.
With recent rumours linking several Juventus players – including Arthur, Weston McKennie, Moise Kean and Aaron Ramsey – in an eventual deal for Nicolò Zaniolo, Roma have set the record straight.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, the Giallorossi have made it clear to all teams interested in the talented 22-year-old that no counterparts will be taken into consideration.

The club are not forcing Zaniolo to exit the club, but if a sale were to take place, Roma would only consider accepting cash. Roma press .
