Paulo Dybala was the star of the show in Roma’s 2-0 win over Fiorentina, earning widespread praise from the Italian media.

The 29-year-old Argentinian forward has returned to full fitness following his hamstring injury in the run up to the World Cup break and has been the decisive man for Jose Mourinho’s Giallorossi, playing as the key creator on the pitch. Dybala scored both goals in Roma’s win over Fiorentina, dragging his team to victory with an inspiring performance.

Dybala took 60 touches, completed 39 passes, created four chances and scored with both of his shots on target.

La Gazzetta dello Sport were impressed with the 2022 World Cup winner’s work on the pitch, suggesting he was in “another category” compared to his teammates.

Tuttosport agreed, underlining how Dybala was the central figure in Mourinho’s squad and a vital part of their attack, saying: “Roma are increasingly at his feet.”

Corriere dello Sport enjoyed the elegance of Dybala’s performance against Fiorentina, suggesting his work was similar to Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, beauty that quickly leads to punishment.

Dybala’s ratings in the Italian newspapers:

Gazzetta dello Sport: 7.5

Tuttosport: 8

Corriere dello Sport: 8

  1. Also , he only tries when he wants a better contract .. I’m sure he already knows where the Roma owners sit in the stadium so he can gesture to them from the field during contract disputes .
