Inter are seriously considering Barcelona’s proposed exchange deal involving Marcelo Brozovic and Franck Kessie, reports suggest.

Journalist Gerard Romero and news outlet Marca broke last week that the Blaugrana had offered Kessie to the Nerazzurri in exchange for Brozovic, keen to shake up their midfield a little in this month’s transfer window. The Ivorian midfielder only arrived six months ago but has struggled to make a strong impression in Catalonia.

As reported by Corriere della Sera, Inter are tempted by the idea of swapping Brozovic for Kessie, helped by the fact that both Hakan Calhanoglu and Kristjan Asllani could replace the Croatian in the midfield.

Barcelona are keen to push the deal through, which would represent a capital gain on their budget considering that the former Milan man arrived on a free transfer.

The two clubs will hold further talks after the Supercoppa Italiana clash, which will kick off in Riyadh on Wednesday January 18.

  1. Don’t they both play in the same position and have almost identical salaries? Doesn’t Inter have more important things to worry about then helping Barca?

  2. Hate to say it but we could use him back at Milan. he fit the system well and could play the ACM role better than anyone we have at present. Not to mention be great competition for Tonali and Benny. Would leave Pobega and Diaz out but looks like that may happen anyway.
