Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly did not put pen to paper on the deferred payment agreement with Juventus.

Rai documentary Report details how investigators are paying close attention to the Bianconeri’s financial statements and deals, being particularly interested in the agreement made with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, who left in the summer of 2021.

Reports had suggested that Ronaldo had signed an agreement with Juventus guaranteeing him €19m, which was deferred due to the COVID pandemic. A lawyer close to the player, however, anonymously revealed that “’the private contract exists, but Ronaldo never signed it, only Juventus signed it.”

When asked why the former Real Madrid star didn’t sign the agreement, the anonymous source said: “Because he was well advised.”

Ronaldo’s lawyers have recently made a request for the €19m owed by Juventus and have been allowed access to documents from the investigation into the club.

The Portugese star scored 101 goals and provided 22 assists across his 134 appearances for the Old Lady.

  1. Sorry but he did not sign the deal but wants the money anyway? He ‘was advised’ not to sign it for reasons we see now but wants the money anyway? Seems odd. Why did he agree in the first place?
