Roma and Inter are reportedly challenging Juventus for Atalanta midfielder Bryan Cristante.

The 22-year-old is on loan from Benfica, but the Orobici will activate their buyout clause to sign him permanently for €4m.

It’s likely a permanent move to Bergamo will be short-lived though, with several big clubs interested in his signature.

According to calciomercato.com, Juventus had wanted to strike a deal like the one they did with Mattia Caldara, taking Cristante for €20m plus bonuses and loaning him back.

According to calciomercato.com, Juventus had wanted to strike a deal like the one they did with Mattia Caldara, taking Cristante for €20m plus bonuses and loaning him back.

However, the player would now cost at least €15m more than that, and the Bianconeri face competition from Roma.

Sporting director Monchi has already spoken to Atalanta about Cristante, while Coach Eusebio Di Francesco has been an admirer since Cristante was at Sassuolo.

Inter are also keen to sign him, with the competition meaning the Orobici will be able to demand at least €30m for the former Milan man.
