Roma are reportedly “dreaming” of signing Atletico Madrid defender Josema Gimenez if Kostas Manolas leaves.

Tuttomercatoweb cites a report in Il Messaggero, which claims Manolas still wants to leave Roma.

His agent is Mino Raiola, whom the newspaper claims has already held talks with Juventus over the Greece international replacing Leonardo Bonucci.

However, the Giallorossi would prefer to sell the 26-year-old to a club outside Italy, despite him already rejecting an offer from Zenit St Petersburg.

Nonetheless, the publications note Roma have already sounded out his replacement in Gimenez.

The Uruguayan broke into Atleti’s first team at just 19 years of age during the 2014-15 campaign but lost his place to ex-Fiorentina man Stefan Savic last season.
