Roma fans dream of signing Cristiano Ronaldo, but at the same time, they are not taking rumours too seriously and joke about CR7’s possible arrival at the Stadio Olimpico with the hashtag #Tuttovero.

Last week, La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Jorge Mendes had offered the Portuguese superstar to Roma, and Giallorossi fans have been dreaming about his signature.

Rumours on local media and radios are growing thick and fast and the possible signing of Cristiano Ronaldo has been the most debated argument in town for a few weeks. Roma fans are known for their creativity and carefree spirit and that’s precisely how they are discussing rumours linking the Manchester United star to a move to the Stadio Olimpico.

A satirical account, Roma Schickposting, has launched the hashtag #Tuttovero. Thousands of Roma fans have used it to share the rumours and the best jokes regarding the deal on Twitter and, mostly, on Instagram.

Some of them quote Ronaldo’s imaginary real estate agent saying that a Portuguese guy from Manchester is looking for a home in Rome, but can only spend €6m in rent. Others have edited pictures from José Mourinho’s Instagram account ‘clearly suggesting’ that Ronaldo is arriving.

The reality is that the deal is much more complicated than many think. Ronaldo’s salary is unaffordable for Roma and the Giallorossi can’t even use the growth decree given that CR7 left Juventus only a year ago, so it can be no longer applied to him.
