Roma have begun negotiations with Manchester City for striker Edin Dzeko for around €15m.
Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.it claim director Walter Sabatini met with agent Irfan Rezapagic on Wednesday in Milan.
Together they called up Manchester City chiefs and made a formal proposal to begin negotiations.
Sabatini is expected to fly out to England next week to iron out the last details of the deal.
Dzeko has already given the all-clear to join Roma, where he’d be reunited with Bosnian teammate Miralem Pjanic.
