Serse Cosmi believes Roma must put yesterday’s sense of injustice behind them and start again with the belief they are on Juventus’ level.

The Giallorossi have been left feeling aggrieved by a handful of refereeing decisions in defeat to their title rivals, but have had backing from one experienced Serie A technician.

“The two teams have respected each other, perhaps at the expense of quality because the tension has played a dominant role,” Cosmi has reflected to Calcionews24 today.

“The field, though, has witnessed an irrefutable fact – between the two teams there is no longer a big difference, indeed.

“Roma must restart from the understanding that yesterday’s game was decided by episodes. With it arrived confirmation of what I have said before – Roma are at the same level as Juventus.

“Roma must immediately put the controversy behind them and start over. If they are a mature group then they should take from this game even more awareness, as there is otherwise a risk of disrupting the certainties currently in place through work and expertise.”

Despite this, Cosmi was less supportive of Rudi Garcia’s message released on Twitter today.

“I rate Garcia, as a Coach and as a person. But I disagree with his statement because he has been in Italy for a short time. I would have understood more from Sabatini, who has seen all sorts of things.”
