Milan are reportedly pushing to close a deal with Roma over Alessandro Florenzi within this week.

Tuttosport reports the two parties are close to reaching an agreement and that the full-back has decided he only wants a move to Milan, after snubbing offers from La Liga in Spain.

The report claims Milan and Roma are working out the final details in the loan deal for the Italy international and Corriere di Roma reveals the possible outcome.

The Roman newspaper reports Il Diavolo hope to close a deal by the end of this week and to do so, they must accept the request from the Giallorossi to include an obligation to buy Florenzi for around €6m when the loan deal expires.

Florenzi spent last term on loan at Paris Saint-Germain and had a six-month stint with Valencia in Spain at the end of 2019-20.

The Azzurri full-back has not featured in the plans at the Olimpico since he was excluded from the squad by former coach Paulo Fonseca, and Jose Mourinho seems convinced to continue without the former captain in the squad.
