Italian reports claim Roma have agreed the sale of Nemanja Matic to Stade Rennais and aim to replace him with Leandro Paredes from PSG.

It was evident that something was developing in the Matic situation because he was not included in the squad travelling to Tirana for today’s friendly against Partizani.

Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia after both confident this evening that the Giallorossi have accepted a €3m offer from Rennes for the Serbia international.

He had arrived as a free agent last summer from Manchester United, making 50 competitive appearances for the club, scoring two goals and providing three assists.

Both sources are also sure that Roma will replace Matic with Paredes, who can leave Paris Saint-Germain for a minimal cost after his loan spell at Juventus.

It would be a permanent move for bonuses and a percentage of the sell-on fee.

Galatasaray have made a much more lucrative proposal to both PSG and Paredes, but the Argentina international seems to have his heart set on a return to Italy and specifically to Roma.
