Milan midfielder Franck Kessie is expected to join the Rossoneri in the coming days and sign a new deal at San Siro.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Kessie, who’s contract with the Diavolo expires in June 2022, is expected at Milanello in the next few days.

The Ivory Coast international has asked for a salary worth €7m a season and Milan are ready to offer €6m plus bonuses for his signature.

The bonuses are the last thing to define before the long-awaited renewal between the two parties, according to the newspaper.

Kessie, capped 44 times by Ivory Coast, first arrived at Milan on loan in July 2017 but moved on a permanent deal from Atalanta in 2019.

The 24-year-old, also known as the President, has established himself in the midfield of Stefano Pioli and is expected to play an important part also in 2021-22.

Kessie has 184 competitive appearances with the Rossoneri, scoring 30 times in the process.
