Lautaro Martinez’ agent Alejandro Camano said the Argentine ‘is happy at Inter’ and wants to stay in Italy, amid rumours of a move to the Premier League.
SportItalia reported the Nerazzurri striker is ‘not for sale’ this summer and the player’s agent has now confirmed he will not follow Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi out the door.
Lautaro was one of the key members in the squad that picked up the Scudetto in Antonio Conte’s second season in charge, but the coach has since left the position and been replaced by Simone Inzaghi.
With Lukaku exiting the club for a return to Chelsea, the Argentine would be even more important and Inter have reportedly reached an agreement with Edin Dzeko to replace the Belgian.
Duvan Zapata and Joaquin Correa are reported targets for the Beneamata, and Camano says Lautaro expects to stay at Pinetina.
“He’s never going to fight with Inter to leave the club,” the agent told FCInter1908 after reports emerged that Tottenham and Arsenal had made offers for the player.
“Never. Lautaro is an Inter player and he’s happy in Italy.”
He also spoke to journalist Cesar Luis Merlo about the future, saying he has decided to remain.
“Lautaro is happy at Inter and in Italy. His decision is to stay.”
