The Orobici captain’s future in Bergamo is uncertain after a falling out with coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

Tuttosport reports Milan and Inter are possible suitors for the 32-year-old attacker, as the Nerazzurri could reopen the door for the attacker.

The newspaper reveals Inter wanted Gomez back in 2013 and could offer him an exit route already next month.

Milan, on the other hand, might have to replace Hakan Calhanoglu, who has yet to renew with the Rossoneri and his current deal will expire in June 2021.

A departure for Calhanoglu in January could be less painful for the Diavolo if Gomez arrives from Atalanta.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims the Argentina international, capped five times by his country, will ask to leave for free.

The report claims Gomez will ask for the green light from the Percassi family to leave on a free, as he has given up various opportunities in the past to stay with La dea.

La Gazzetta mentions interest from Inter, Milan and Roma in Serie A, but has linked the player with a move to Paris Saint-Germain too.

Yesterday, Gomez’s agent Beppe Riso said ‘it’s too early’ to talk about a possible transfer of the Atalanta captain.
