Edy Reja is of the opinion that this season in Serie A is a four-horse race for the Scudetto, although one that oddly doesn't yet include Lazio and Napoli.

The Aquile's 3-2 victory over Udinese on Sunday keeps Lazio in joint second place with Napoli, just three points behind League leaders Milan.

Interviewed on Radio Anch'io Lo Sport, Reja said: "We are up there. We have shown a consistency in our results. There is still a bitter taste in our mouths for the defeat to Juve.

"Yesterday the game against Udinese wasn't easy. The results have shown us to be right. It's credit to the lads who went looking for a win right until the end."

Focusing his attention on the title race, he said: "Milan, Juventus, Roma and Inter have superior qualities to the others. These are the four teams for the Scudetto.

"Then there is Napoli and Lazio who are doing very well. If we can keep going like this we can get ourselves into the fight for the Scudetto. But for us it would already be extraordinary to reach the Champions League."

Reja then reiterated his disappointment with Lazio's supporters for whistling his decision to substitute Mauro Zarate towards the end of Sunday's game.

"I am upset that the fans whistled because we are doing well. They often talk too much about individual players. Every time I substitute Zarate, God knows what happens. I repeat that I don't have phenomenal players, but I do have good ones.

"In the end the change was also shrewd because Libor Kozak scored. I would like it if the fans were also to accept the substitutions."

Finally, Reja gave an insight into Lazio's plans for the January transfer window.

"We are aware of what is happening in the European and the South American markets. But it's difficult to do business in January. I have already said to the President that we can stay the way we are unless a player of great quality presents himself on the market."
