The former Juventus, Inter, Roma, Chelsea and Leicester City boss is currently a free agent and cast his eye over the football landscape.

“Winning the Premier League with Leicester is a fond memory I always go back to during my most difficult moments,” he told RAI Sport programme Rabona.

“My desire is to get back to management, it doesn’t matter whether it is in Italy or abroad. I will say that working in England is very enjoyable.”

Ranieri’s old nemesis Jose Mourinho doesn’t seem to be relishing the situation too much at Manchester United.

“Jose is a great character, a great Coach and a great person. I think the whole controversy over me having ‘Zero titles’ has been left behind a long time ago, though.”

Juventus won at Old Trafford this week and confirmed their status as Champions League contenders after poaching Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

“I think it’s a bit like when Diego Maradona joined Napoli and helped Italian football emerge from its crisis. Juventus secured a remarkable coup and proved once again they are a step ahead of everyone.

“I don’t think Milan are in as bad a condition as people say. Gennaro Gattuso is doing a good job, studies the games well and never holds back. He knows what to do.”
