Claudio Ranieri has affirmed his belief in every member of his Roma squad ahead of Sunday’s Serie A trip to Genoa. “They’re all important.”

Ranieri not hesitated to rotate in his eight games since returning to Roma in March, which have yielded four wins and only two defeats.

“It’ll be a difficult game,” the Coach said at a Press conference.

“They’ve beaten teams like Juventus, Atalanta and Lazio at Marassi, so we’ll have to be very focused

“I have a team built for the 4-3-3, but I also have one built for a No 10 to play behind the strikers. We’ll see after our final training sessions.

“I thank the fans for their banner, it was beautiful. I’ve come here to try to help the team. That’s my objective.

“I’m a man for the football pitch. The rest doesn’t matter. I’ll try to give my best to the end. Then it will no longer be my place to do so.

“I hope Dzeko will be fit. He should train today and tomorrow as usual: I still have time to make decisions.

“Zaniolo is ready. At his age he can’t always have that ease when running, but his inner strength and physique help him a lot.

“There are four games left and I need all my players to be 100 percent. When they are, I have more options and those who don’t start mustn’t feel like reserves.

“They have to think about Roma, they’re all important. Pellegrini is developing nicely. He’s very dynamic, young, he plays and times his runs with ease.

“The more he plays, the more he adapts to his role. He’s a central midfielder and that gives me more options.

“Schick is very strong for me, I’m banking on him: there are those who mature quicker and those who do later, but I’m confident.”

The 67-year-old wrapped up with some words of comfort for Porto goalkeeper Iker Casillas after his heart attack.

“I don’t know if he can get back on the pitch, but I hope so. I wish him all the best.”
