Former Roma, Inter and Juventus boss Claudio Ranieri has agreed to take charge of Sampdoria on a two-year deal.

Sky Sport Italia and ANSA report negotiations concluded successfully on Thursday afternoon, with Ranieri set to earn a €2m salary.

The Blucerchiati turned to the 67-year-old after they were rejected by former Milan Coach Gennaro Gattuso.

He will replace Eusebio Di Francesco for the second season in succession, having done so at Roma towards the end of the previous campaign.
