The 29-year-old has not managed to establish himself in Sarri’s starting line-up but has been influential in big games like the final fixture against Inter ahead of the interruption.

“It was a big job for us to get the three points and return to the top of the league,” Ramsey told The Athletic about the 2-0 win against the Nerazzurri.

“We made sure we gave everything on the day. Nobody knew if the standings were going to stay as they were.”

Ramsey has admitted that the former Gunners coach Unai Emery had given him a glimpse of detailed tactics but admitted he was met by a completely different approach in his first season at the Allianz Stadium.

“It’s different from what I’m used to. Even though last season Unai Emery was going through a lot of things. Sarri likes to go over things very thoroughly.

“Tactics here, especially in Italy, are such a big thing. The Premier League is more end-to-end. There’s a bit more freedom to attack and probably more spaces to exploit there.

“Over here a lot of teams, especially against the bigger sides, drop a lot deeper into a low block and encourage you to come and break them down.

“You have to be a lot more patient.”

Tonight. Juventus resume against Milan in the return leg of the Coppa Italia semi-finals, with the match in February ending 1-1 at San Siro.
