The Bianconeri have made the trip without injured Paulo Dybala, Giorgio Chiellini, Arthur and Merih Demiral, so there are few doubts that Alvaro Morata will partner Cristiano Ronaldo upfront.

The changes are likely to be in midfield and on the wings, where Dejan Kulusevski is battling with Aaron Ramsey for a starting spot against his old club.

Chiesa is the favourite rather than Federico Bernardeschi on the right flank.

Veteran goalkeeper Buffon should get the nod in goal, perhaps the final time he’ll get to play at the Stadio Tardini, where his Serie A career began.

Parma are fresh from draws with Milan and Cagliari, but Giuseppe Pezzella is still not at 100 per cent, while Juve-owned Hans Nicolussi Caviglia is out for the season with a serious knee injury.

Hernani is likely to step into midfield, with Andreas Cornelius or Roberto Inglese leading the trident attack.

Yann Karamoh and Gervinho are the favourites to complete the trio, although there is competition from Juan Brunetta.

Probable line-ups

Parma: Sepe; Iacoponi, Alves, Osorio, Gagliolo; Kucka, Hernani, Kurtic; Gervinho, Inglese, Karamoh

Juventus: Buffon; Danilo, Bonucci, De Ligt, Alex Sandro; Ramsey, McKennie, Bentancur, Chiesa; Morata, Cristiano Ronaldo
