Cesare Prandelli believes the main Genoa problem against Roma will be “confidence and being aware it’s all still in our hands.”

It kicks off on Sunday at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT).

“Everyone has a lot of motivation at this stage of the season and we expect a very intense match, but hope the best team doesn’t win,” smiled the Coach in his Press conference.

“The Giallorossi are stronger than us, but if we are united and put in the right performance, we can cause them real problems.”

Genoa lost 3-2 back in December, but Roma have since replaced Eusebio Di Francesco with Claudio Ranieri.

“Over the last few games, we’ve seen there is more solidity and Roma are keeping the lines tighter, while in attack they’ve put more responsibility on the shoulders of Edin Dzeko.

“We have had some very good performances over the last three games and mustn’t lose confidence, because that is our main problem.

“Too many times we’ve seen a single incident change our attitude and compromise everything. We’ve got to stay in the game and be aware we can turn situations around. It’s all still in our hands.

“It’s important to always believe in your capabilities. After all, everyone in Italy cheered on Ranieri’s Leicester City when they won the Premier League and felt very proud. Ranieri is a man of common sense and experience, but I still hope to make life difficult for him tomorrow.”
