Paul Pogba will travel to Lyon to meet with Professor Sonnery Cottet tomorrow following a recent knee injury, which could see him miss the upcoming World Cup.

The Frenchman suffered the issue during a training session whilst in the US with Juventus, and tests revealed that he’d suffered a a lateral meniscus injury in his right knee. A week has now passed and no decision has been made yet regarding Pogba’s situation.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Pogba cannot postpone his consultation anymore, so tomorrow he’ll be in Lyon to meet with Professor Cottet, who will asses his knee and see whether he needs to undergo an operation or not.

If it were up to the Frenchman, he wouldn’t want to undergo surgery and would prefer to try and manage the injury across the season. Pogba has been in contact with Juventus’ medical staff and those from the French national team, carefully considering his options.

  1. I wouldn’t be surprised if he made his decision based entirely around his participation at the World Cup, with no regard for the club that’s paying him €300k p/w. That seems to be the kind of guy he is.

  2. @ Gi-Al-Loross
Professional players often see a world cup as an absolute highlight. If you’re very very talented and fortuned you might have just 2 or 3 opportunities in your whole career.

  3. I don’t feel sorry for Juve or Pogba. He’s a selfish player who will disappoint Juve fans as much as he did Man United ones. I’m pretty sure he wasn’t in good shape when he arrived, which may have contributed to this injury. And Juve are a great club, but they’ve been showing alarming signs lately of recruiting in a shallow ‘galacticos’ manner. Stick to young, hungry talents such as Vlahovic and you won’t go wrong. That’s the future rather than money-grabbing egomaniacs.

no one is hungrier than Pogba for an European trophy. I saw young talents like that slow Kulusevski and McKennie. it’s not age related. Modric and benzema keep winning UCL in their 60s
Pogba has the talent and winning mentality. how can you judge him by saying he wasin’t in good shape when he came here ?
    Is Medical Tests jokes ?
Galactic Stupidity is vivid throughout your comment.
