"There are still a few details to iron out, but I believe that Andrea Pirlo is heading towards Juve."

It's understood that Pirlo will sign a three-year contract with the Old Lady of Italian football.

The 32-year-old joined Milan in 2001 from city rivals Inter after a loan spell at hometown club Brescia.

"We never discussed finances with Milan regarding a new contract," the representative continued. "Pirlo's stimulus and the desire for a new adventure was what made the difference.

"Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri made his evaluations and we made ours, but we all did so with calmness."

It's widely understood that Allegri wouldn't have used Pirlo as a starter with regularity next season.
