Andrea Pirlo confirms he’ll start his coaching badges in September, and believes Italy “must start again from zero”.
The former midfielder won over 100 caps for the Azzurri during his playing career, winning the World Cup in 2006.
“Mancini is an important Coach for the national team,” Pirlo explained, speaking to RMC Sport.
“He must start against from zero with great enthusiasm and by focusing on the young players who can help Italy return to being a competitive team.

“As for me, I’ll start the coaching course in September, I want to get my licence because you never know.”
Pirlo helped Juventus to reclaim the Scudetto following his move from Milan in 2011, and the Bianconeri have won it every year since.
“The seventh consecutive Scudetto didn’t surprise me, I think the cycle can continue. I liked Douglas Costa a lot this year, he gave a lot to the Bianconeri.
“Miralem Panic is getting better every year and is an important player for Juventus.
“Emre Can? He’s a physically strong midfielder, he reminds me of Khedira for what he does on the pitch.”
