Speaking to Tuttosport, the former Fiorentina” data-scaytid=”8″>Fiorentina and Pisa midfielder believes that the arrival of Pirlo has transformed Juventus into a Scudetto contender.

“Pirlo has turned this Juventus side into what they are now,” Dunga told the Turin-based publication on Wednesday.

“You can see that his teammates respect him as their new leader,” Dunga continued. “He is their Brazilian.

“Pirlo is the most Brazilian-like European player around right now. He can dictate tempo, he has technique, positional sense and geometry with his passing.

“He would be the first player I would pick if I could take charge of a dream team.”

The Old Lady signed the 2006 World Cup winner on a free transfer in the summer after Milan opted against renewing his contract.

Juventus have two ‘real’ Brazilians on their books in the shape of striker Amauri and central midfielder Felipe Melo.

Amauri, who is an Italian international, has been frozen out of the first team squad though after refusing a summer move, while Melo has been sent to Galatasaray on loan.
