Milan's end-of-season barbecue also gave Andrea Pirlo the opportunity to say goodbye after 10 years at the club.

The whole team came together after today's training session for a barbecue in the Milanello training ground, complete with champagne to celebrate the Scudetto.

The team travels to Udine tomorrow to prepare for Sunday night's final Serie A game.

It was therefore the perfect opportunity for Pirlo to say goodbye to his teammates, as he has confirmed he won't renew his contract when it expires on June 30.

It was therefore the perfect opportunity for Pirlo to say goodbye to his teammates, as he has confirmed he won't renew his contract when it expires on June 30.

It's widely reported the midfielder gave a brief speech and hugged each of his colleagues individually.

A few tears were shed and there were other reasons to celebrate too, as Pirlo turned 32 yesterday. When he first arrived at Milanello from rivals Inter, he was only 21.

His agent confirmed a free transfer to Turin is very likely.

“A final decision will be made in the next few days, but I think Juventus are the prime candidates,” Tulio Tinti noted.

“There are still a few details to iron out, but I believe that Andrea Pirlo is heading towards Juve.”
