Milan striker Alexandre Pato has rejected claims that he is unable to play alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Their apparent lack of compatibility has come under intense scrutiny in recent weeks, but Pato feels he laid the doubters to rest on Sunday.

The Brazil international scored a wonderful goal against Genoa thanks to an assist from Ibrahimovic. However, Milan were wasteful afterwards and could only draw 1-1.

It allowed Napoli to cut Milan's lead at the top of Serie A to just three points, while Inter have also closed the gap thanks to a 5-3 win at home to Roma.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Pato said: "I don't have any problem playing with Ibra."

The 21-year-old has now scored nine goals in 11 starts for Milan in Serie A this season.
