Crystal Palace are expected to resume their bid for Genoa midfielder Tomas Rincon, facing competition from Inter and Roma.

The Venezuela captain had been on the verge of leaving Genoa during the summer, but a series of factors did not come together in time.

According to The Sun newspaper, Palace will pick the matter up again in January with an offer of up to £7.5m.

The 28-year-old was also targeted by Inter and especially Roma on transfer deadline day.

Milan had been interested, but signed Mati Fernandez from Fiorentina instead.
