Former Italy striker Dani Osvaldo has fired a stinging broadside at Boca Juniors, accusing his old coaches of narcissism, sycophancy and disrespect.

Osvaldo retired from professional football over the summer, aged just 30, but his last club Boca sacked him for smoking in their dressing room.

The ex-Roma, Juventus and Inter man, however, refused to level any blame at the Argentine giants, instead targeting their Coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto and his twin-assistant Gustavo.

“In addition to having their heads up their backsides, the twins are the same: if one of them hurts their knee, the other is also hurt,” the self-styled musician told Canal Magazine.

“I had good Coaches in my career that weren’t all smoke and mirrors and didn’t offend their players in front of cameras.

“The Barros Schelottos are like Ned Flanders from the Simpsons, I left them on very bad terms.”
