Dani Osvaldo is expected to arrive in Milan on Monday ahead of completing his move to Inter this week, in time to join training on Thursday.

The striker is seen as having already reached agreement with the Nerazzurri on an initial season-long loan deal and that the only delay in moving from Southampton is so the Premier League club can similarly tie up exchange loans for Saphir Taider and Ezequiel Schelotto.

Reports this morning reiterate that Osvaldo is expected to arrive in Milan on Monday alongside his agent before heading to a hotel in the city.

It is expected that they may meet with Piero Ausilio, before the player undergoes medical tests on Tuesday.

Osvaldo is anticipated as set to complete his move in time to join up with his new teammates in time for training on Thursday. The squad are due back at Appiano Gentile on that day, after being granted a few days’ rest following their return from the United States.

Tuttosport reitate that Inter will take Osvaldo on an initial free loan for the season, with a purchase option then set in place for €7m. The Italy international is also set for a €2m salary.
