Bernardeschi returns to the Artemio Franchi

All the FiorentinaJuventus hate started when Roberto Baggio took his Divine Ponytail from Florence to play in the black and white strips and things only got worse when the man once dabbed as Baggio's heir at Viola took his same footsteps of betrayal to the Old Lady.

After bagging 11 goals and four assists last season, Bernardeschi will be at the Artemio Franchi for the first time since he left the club.

With all the injuries afflicting the Bianconeri, the 23-year-old Italian is guaranteed a starting spot against his former team, and he’s sure to get a hostile reception.

Game of the week in Napoli-Lazio

On one hand, Napoli could be considered lucky to face the Biancocelesti now, as Lazio have been suffering Serie A losses for two weeks in a row now, an incident that has not occurred since the final rounds of last season.

On the other, Dries Mertens is not taking part in the full training of the Neapolitans, while Jose Callejon and Raul Albiol are training separately.

Napoli cannot afford to miss one of their starters especially upfront, and Ciro Immobile might regain his momentum if the veteran Spanish center-back is not fully fit for the tie.

The unbeaten Rino Gattuso

Since Patrick Cutrone's late winner in the Coppa Italia Milan derby, Gennaro Gattuso's army have survived an unbeaten run of seven games, including a huge win over Lazio.

Now, Milan are back to an old new test of packed fixtures, as they are about to learn if the spirit implemented by their coach will be enough for them continue competing in both Serie A and the Europa League.

This weekend, they will travel to face Spal at the Paolo Mazza stadium that last hosted a dramatic draw against their city rivals Inter, with their youth product Alberto Paloschi on the scoresheet.

Can Inter ever start a revival?

After a flawless kick-off for Serie A, unbeaten in 16 games – better than any competitor in the league – Luciano Spalletti now finds himself looking on aghast as his side are without a win since December 3.

With Roma facing Benevento at the Stadio Olimpico, it is almost certain the Nerazzurri will fall out of the Champions League positions if they fail to beat Bologna this Sunday.

Fabio Quagliarella and the peak of 30+ strikers

Just like Dario Hubner, Marco Di Vaio and Fabrizio Miccoli, Quagliarella seems to be the next Serie A striker to find his top form in his 30s.

The 35-year-old Prima Punta has bagged 16 goals this season, the best tally in his career and is only four goals shy from the leader of the Capocannoniere race, Immobile.

As Sampdoria are ready to host bottom of the table Verona, Eta Beta will be hoping to inflict some damage on the visitors to raise his total and secure the Europa League position for his side.
